“Seize the day!”

That’s what the legendary Robin Williams said in the iconic movie “Dead Poets Society.” (Now there’s no denying my generation anymore!)

The statement drove the protagonists towards their dreams and ideals despite seeming difficulties and pains. Their belief & zeal brought out the best in them. This movie inspired & motivated me to take on teaching and leadership.

Today, I come back from my very first leave after 13 years of service. (“Bitin!” is an understatement. Hehe.) I however recalled this famous line that calls all of us not to fear, not to dilly dally, not to let the obstacles get in our way. It calls us, instead, to move and “seize the day!”

Friend, as we continue with Talk 6 of our amazing series WILDERNESS, know that you are not destined to just stay where you are. Life is all about growth. Dwelling on things that do not add life and love deprives you from attaining what God has in store.

Take courage & learn from the Israelites. Remember that the only way to reach your Promised Land is to Trust the Lord thru your Wilderness. The Lord is presenting to you opportunities to “Move On”! Take it and go!

Do not be afraid because the Lord is with you! We know this as today, we also celebrate CORPUS CHRISTI, the Feast of the Body and Blood of Christ, the Eucharist! Truly, JESUS is with us until the end. Trust in Him. Hang on to Him and move on!
