BRIDGES

Are you ready for a breakfeast?

It has been quite a time since we have had what we call a “breakfeast”. Just like “breakfast”, where we “break the fast” of not eating due to sleeping, so does the “breakfeast” break the continuous Feast sessions dealing with different Topics. This has been our practice for many years...until last year. We shifted our Feast sessions to a more focused study of the Bible, starting off with the Gospel of Matthew.

Let’s face it, it wasn’t easy. While the transition was on going, I would surmise that those used to very practical topics may have found it difficult to follow our Feast sessions.  They may not be used to delving deeply into Scripture and analyzing the Jewish culture and the meanings behind the Biblical passages. The series also had so many talks, with the most recent one reaching

Talk 10... and we aren’t even done yet!

But transition we did. It has been more than 6 months since we shifted to this “Bible Study” in the Feast. And yes, there were challenges, but as we went along, many have grown in their love for the Word of God. A lot of misconceptions were dispelled and more Catholics are now seeing the place of the Bible in their lives. We now have a deeper understanding of God’s Word and can very well apply the lessons to our lives since the Feast still emphasizes practical application in daily life.

Friends, as we continue with our series Best Preaching Ever with Talk 11 entitled COTTON CANDY,  let not transitions look like “dead ends”. Sure, certain things may seem “ended” but there are others that continue. As we are still in this Crisis, let our transition to the “New Normal” not alone indicate a detour in our journey, but in fact, a bridge towards a better place, a higher call, a greater destination.

Let this “breakfeast” be a blessing as the as the Builders of The Feast Ortigas District

( Feast Valle Verde ) share what has transitioned in our lives the past 6 months. Be blessed, empowered and encouraged as we see God’s guiding Hand even in the midst of crisis. Truly, crisis is where “Christ Is”! He is always with us.

Are you ready for a breakfeast?

May your miracles happen,

Bro J
