God’s Antidote To Almost Every World Problem

All over the Philippines, even if we don’t have an official divorce law, marriages are breaking apart. I know. I get thousands of messages each week, many of them spouses crying to me, telling me that their marriages are gone.

Broken families have a real impact on poverty. In the US, 5% of married families are considered poor, but a whopping 30% of single-households are considered poor.

It also has an impact on crime. Studies show that the most important predictor of criminal behavior is the father’s absence in a person’s life.

What should we do? With God beside us, let’s fight for our families.

I believe a loving family is God’s antidote to almost every problem.

May your dreams come true,

PS. And what if we can’t repair the marriage? Follow the Lord and you break the cycle and bless the future of your children.

Talk's Scripture Reference:

Matthew 7: 31-32 NLT

“You have heard the law that says, ‘A man can divorce his wife by merely giving her a written notice of divorce.’ But I say that a man who divorces his wife, unless she has been unfaithful, causes her to commit adultery. And anyone who marries a divorced woman also commits adultery.

Deuteronomy 24: 1-2 NLT

Suppose a man marries a woman but she does not please him. Having discovered something wrong with her, he writes a document of divorce, hands it to her, and sends her away from his house. When she leaves his house, she is free to marry another man.

Malachi 2: 16 NLT

“For I hate divorce!... To divorce your wife is to overwhelm her with cruelty…”

Mark 10: 11 NLT

“Whoever divorces his wife and marries someone else commits adultery against her.

Luke 16:18 NLT

“For example, a man who divorces his wife and marries someone else commits adultery….”

Personal Reflection and Group Discussion:

How have you been fighting for your family? Which area do you need to work on more: Character, Communication, and Commitment?
