God is Found in the Nitty Gritty

“What did Jesus do for 30 years in Nazareth?”

From the bits and pieces that we know, Jesus lived a quiet life as an ordinary carpenter. A craftsman. An entrepreneur. He didn’t preach. He didn’t heal. He didn’t cast out demons. For 3 decades!

Which brings me to a very important message: For many people, following God is about going to church, or saying prayers, or reading the Bible. Sorry, that’s not following God, that’s just being religious.

Following God means following Him outside church, from Monday to Saturday, in the

nitty gritty of daily life. And that’s what Jesus did: He lived an inspiring life in Nazareth for 30 years.
